Global Product Line Purchasing & the role:

Within the Global Purchasing Organization, Global Product Line Purchasing has the key responsibility of awarding new businesses, in close collaboration with the Global Categories.

Our mission is to ensure the award of businesses to the best suppliers through project negotiations, using advanced tools (ex. Is refined cost models), Supplier Development methodologies, etc… fulfilling the targets of quality, complexity reduction, technology harmonization, cost optimization, and supplier consolidation.

We operate in all the regions (Business Areas) with international suppliers engaging them with our internal business partners as: Sales, Product Line, R&D, Quality, Manufacturing & Engineering, Marketing, and Finance etc. building strong cooperation with a focus on quality, innovation, long-term agreements with our strategic suppliers. Sustainability and continuous improvement are the elements that are underpinning our activity.

Duties and responsibilities

• Drive projects centered on global strategy for compressors, cooling systems, motors, ice and water; complexity reduction, technology harmonization, supplier consolidation, and cost optimization.
• Develop and manage strategic working relationships with internal and external stakeholders on a global and regional level.
• Assist in budget preparation, 12 month plan cost estimation, and support of project updates.
• Support analytics, data preparation, and updates to global and regional teams.
• Chair and facilitate project meetings.
• Document and follow up on project actions to ensure deadlines are met.
• Some international/local travel will be required (up to 30%).
• Reporting to Global Product Line Director / Lead Category Manager

Experience required
• Strong mechanical technical skills / acumen or equivalent experience
• Strong leadership skills including leading cross functional teams and global supplier resources.
• Results-oriented and demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet critical deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to build and maintain good cross functional working relationships. 
• Strong problem solving, analytical, and statistical skills.
• Flexible, adaptable, and efficient time management.
• Self-starter, with initiative, who can work effectively with minimal supervision.
• Team player
• Enthusiastic, results driven and action oriented.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Languages: Fluent in English, additional languages a plus.
