Objectives:
Lead the function of  Global Purchasing Controlling & Business Performance with following (but not limited to) :-
• Planning;  consolidation and analysis of the purchasing result (savings in direct material as well as indirect material) as well as the functional costs to ensure that global purchasing targets are met in these areas
• Drive and execute financial planning and strategic plans co-ordinating with the global product lines as well as the global commodities controlling
• Prepare and analyse global purchasing comprehensive Balanced Score card and run the periodic performance reviews
• Be a trusted advisor with the analytical and fact based input with a business mindset
• Ad-hoc analyses as needed
 
Key operational responsibilities:
• Reporting management
• Consolidate the Direct Material reports on a PL level (actuals, budgets, expected),IM on commodity level including ocean logistics 
• Deviation analysis together with commodity managers and factory controllers
• Follow up macro- economic developments impacting the business
• Lead the periodic financial & business reviews with CPO 
• Drive the annual budget and periodic forecasts as well as the strategic planning
• Functional costs follow up and reporting
• Alignment of definitions and methods for Purchasing results between different entities
• Raw Material analysis
• Payment term reporting
• Project Management key initiatives (e.g. Hedging; Supplier Finance; Policy updates)
• Be a business partner to the PL head to drive strategic initiatives
• Lead a  team of the controllers

Reporting to: Director, Finance & Business Solutions. Global Purchasing 
 
Competencies needed:
• Financial or economical engineering education – 7 years minimum experience in a financial position. (preferably in a plant / operations and on a global level in purchasing function
• Good understanding of Direct Material (transaction) flow within a plant / company
• Self-Starter and able to work independently
• Leadership skills, proven track record in managing a diverse team
• Team player and communication skills
