Reliability Engineer

Objectives responsibility to define reliability specifications for modules/systems to be applied to Cooking appliances
validation, failure analysis, robust design and statistical process controls
lead the Reliability Laboratory taking care of equipment environment and maintenance.
able to cover local as well as global requirements
to directly support components development, validation and implementation for all regions.
Key operational responsibilities identify and define reliability specification requirements linked to modules/systems/components, and through these requirements validate their functionality, quality, safety and performance;
test reliability of modules/systems/components, analyzing failures and delivering robust design;
develop detailed design and test specifications to meet the specified function/features, quality and cost targets
evaluation and optimization of components for quality and safety improvement.
create design options to meet design specifications, manufacturing processes and assembly requirements
participate in system and subsystem reviews and in global projects
ensure the execution of development project/activities to deliver gas Technology Roadmap, according to modularization guidelines of gas subsystems and fulfilling Consumer Needs
Support all Electrolux Functions with expertise and competence in gas product and for quality improvement and cost reduction activities.
participate in supplier evaluation and selection, including Statistical Process Controls, FMEA impacting on Reliability of parts
follow up the introduction of new technologies into products,.

Minimum Qualification

Key functional qualifications works in autonomy, is trusted as technically competent, reliable in delivery and perform assignments
technical performance: masters knowledge of product and process technologies has a good skill in mechanics and fluid dynamics/combustion
understands project management principles and supports projects metrics and deliverables
successful design/redesign and implementation into production of components, cost reductions or service and quality improvements.
has a robust, structured and professional engineering approach in all activities
knowledge of Statistical Tools and methods for Reliability (i.e. Weibull, Halt&Hass, etc)
DOE and Measuring System Evaluation knowledge
At least 3 years of strong experience (including project leadership and managing) in Reliability Laboratories in Research & Development or Quality Departments, in home appliances or similar business areas (gas products preferably), in Universities Research Centers or Insitutes / Notification Bodies.
Excellent English skills in both spoken and written
Familiarity about Gas and or Electronic Systems
demonstrates good interpersonal and written communication skills
is able to clearly present technical information to groups such as project/team meetings
is able to generate several alternative solutions and evaluate their feasibility
preferably aeronautics/mechanical/physics/chemistry engineering university or specific reliability engineering background
likes to develop his/her technical skills and competence in a global environment.
availability to travel domestic and international for business trips
interact with suppliers on technical development
has a good understanding of product cost structure and the financial impact of engineering on the business
demonstrated ability in finalizing high quality technical studies/assignments
