Sales Operations Director, APAC & MEA
As one of the key initiatives to support profitable growth in APAC & MEA region, a set of sales related functions is being developed to provide support to the sales companies on local level in areas of demand planning and customer services.
Sales Operations, as one of the key business functions, will develop processes and system support covering the key areas in terms of Organization, Processes, Capabilities and Governance.
The goal of Sales Operations will be to achieve best-in-industry performance in APAC & MEA by creating effortless experience for the retailers at lowest possible cost to serve.
Key Operational Responsibilities
o Lead, motivate, coach, train and develop Sales Operations organization (both dedicated and shared resources with Major Appliances)
o Operationally responsible for Demand Planning, Customer Services, Tools and Processes
o To drive effortless experience and operational excellence across sales companies with usage of standard KPI’s
o To implement customer segmentation and differentiate service level towards star customers and others in terms of product availability, IT infrastructure, tractability of orders, ability to react on sudden demand, etc.
o To drive improvements in service levels towards our customers though process review and improvement suggestions with a special focus on order to delivery and order to cash processes (including electronic ordering and invoicing)
o To define weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly planning activities on central and local levels to drive improvement and deliver highest accuracy in terms of planning to supply chain
o To implement planning on customer group level, as well as build a model for demand planning for B2C channel (e.g. demand sensing)
o To collaborate with product line and supply chain organisations to optimize the NOWC metrics for the region, maintaining highest possible product availability and service levels towards customers
o To support in defining and building supply chain control tower to optimize planning and ordering process for sourced products from supply chain side as well to simplify demand planning processes
o To participate in commercial excellence programme, supporting increased sales efficiency initiative through rolling out sales tools, e.g. CRM, online stock availability, etc.
o To define and drive IT (Business) requirements and implementation
o To benchmark with external sales operations organizations
o At least 10 years’ experience in a commercial sales environment
o At least 3 years direct leadership experience with a team
o At least 3 years leadership in a project environment
o Strong entrepreneurial skills
o General knowledge and understanding of the business (non-industry specific)
o A deep knowledge of systems used in the administration and management of sales
o A good knowledge of systems used in the factory, logistics and product mgmt. organizations
o Strong oral and written communication skills in English
o Strong presentation skills
o Able to demonstrate strong business acumen with a bias in commercial management
