SUMMARY: 

Electrolux strives to lead the area of freshness and taste, and are investing to bring consumer relevant products to the market. Within the scope of this we are looking for a person that has a background in the area of food preservation with few years of experience that can assist the local and global product development teams in applying relevant functionalities to refrigerators. This person will work closely with the global Food Science Team in Stockholm, Sweden, but within the local organization.

This further involves working with a creative, collaborative team of engineering and laboratory, with flexibility to travel abroad to other Electrolux Food Preservation plants with high level of interaction with laboratories, marketing, industrial design, industrial process and sales towards the successful launch of new consumer products. Development is within a fast-paced environment with superior engineering and development culture using EPM and other Electrolux tools, state-of-the-art testing and prototyping facilities product development activities and following the results across the sectors: Working together with the rest of the team, she/he will support in achieving the results always observing the cost, investment and time plan activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Grow to within 2-3 years be the CTC focal point for freshness and taste
  • Assist architecture team in applying modules according to developed Guidelines
  • Participate in CPs of the new products to ensure project test plan is updated, executed and results are within the targets
  • Execute product specific freshness Tests according to global specifications
  • Write professional experimental reports and prepare PPT presentations
  • Performing relevant tests at the CTC
  • Participate in bi-weekly meetings with the global freshness network team, reporting on advances

Minimum Qualification

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in Food Science Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (or related technical BS degree)
  • 3-5years working experience
  • Knowledge of Thermal dynamic and heat transfer, Mechanical Refrigeration Sealed Systems and Airflow mechanics
  • Knowledge of Refrigerators and Freezer products
  • Knowledge in sensory quality evaluation
  • Knowledge or interest in data managing and evaluation, statistical analysis and interpretations
  • Knowledge of useful techniques to quantify food quality
  • Communicative, willingness to travel, team player

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Interest to work in a / within a multicultural, international environment
  • Knowledge in food and food preservation methods
  • Develop the ability to understand and communicate requirements of food and consequences for product design with respect to freshness and taste preservation.
  • Ready to work both with desk research as well as lab testing
  • Under guidance collating and sharing data with high level of accuracy with the global team
  • Establish very good relationship with all members area
  • Available to travel
  • Passion to innovation, customer obsession, drive for results
  • Communicative, team orientated, with analytical thinking
  • Patient, paying attention to the details, organized
