Senior Framework Domain Engineer– Porcia, Italy


As the Senior Framework Domain Engineer you will be part of the team  responsible to create and govern the firmware library and basic product frameworks to support the delivery an unified electronic control architecture that will be used globally and across product lines. In addition to the technical aspects of the position, additional responsibilities include the lead of the delivery of components of the library.

As an integral member of Global Electronics Competences Center (GECC), which is belonging to Global Connectivity & Technology (GC&T) organization, you will provide your technical expertise in order to create a set of firmware development frameworks and structures working together and synergistically with Product lines R&D, factories and Quality Departments.  

You will
• Contribute to the design of the Electronic System Global cross Product Architecture with relevant Company stakeholders (Sys, HW, Tools, R & Ds).
• Contribute to design the SW System Global Cross Product Architecture with relevant Company  stakeholders (Sys, HW, Tools, HMI, R&Ds).
• Be responsible to define specifications of the software library and basic product frameworks to support the delivery of the SW Global Cross Product Architecture according to R&D requirements. 
• Be responsible to design, develop and test the software library and basic product frameworks to support the delivery of the SW Global Cross Product Architecture according to R&D requirements. 
• Contribute to review with SW Engineers the software library. 
• Contribute to manage the workflow and the roadmap of the software library.
• Contribute to the definition of the Global Product Lifecycle Tools Set to support the Electronic System Global cross Product Architecture with relevant stakeholders (Tools, System Engineers, R&Ds, …)
• Contribute to provide microcontroller Class B library and design modules in order to be compliant with the Global Cross Product SW Safety Architecture collaborating relevant stakeholders (Sys, HW, Tools, R&Ds) and guarantee the compliancy of the library with  normative changes in the regulation working with the relevant stakeholders.
• Contribute in the definition of the microcontroller roadmap with the specific competence leader.
• Work closely with BSP/ Kernel competency leader to harmonize the framework.
• Lead Design Review and collect feedback from Project Teams to define actions to improve the EDM library & framework with HW Manager guarantee maintenance and evolution according to requirements of the stakeholders
• Lead the development of the library & Framework  components leveraging internal and offshore operations, act as POs.
• Support R&Ds SW Project Leader, Architects and System and Monitor Compliancy of the Software Artifact of the different Projects with the Global Architecture.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• MSc. or equivalent degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent field. Candidates with a BSc degree in combination with additional relevant experience will also be considered. 
• Minimum ten years of broad and relevant experience in an electronic controls engineering company
• Embedded programming skills and experience in C/C++
• Embedded Linux, QT,QML, and EMwin GUI development experience a plus.
• Experience working in modern software development process frameworks (Agile, SCRUM, DevOps, Kanban, etc…)
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for electronic components (UL,VDE…). Experience with UL/IEC 60335 Class B safety requirements a plus
• Knowledge of LED, LCD, and TFT display technologies.
• Willingness to travel.
