You will be based in our HQ in Stockholm, Sweden.

Through the Group Technology Organization (GTO), we develop and support an extensive range of solutions, systems and applications that are fundamental for the execution of the Digital Strategy of the Group.

The role played by the Group Digital Engineering Organization within GTO will be instrumental in driving the definition and execution of the Connectivity Strategy to the next level. This will enable Electrolux to impact life of our consumers by providing outstanding experiences while working with several exciting technological areas such as Firmware development, Cloud native development, Mobile applications, etc.

As Software is playing an increasingly greater role in enabling digital consumer experience, we are becoming more consumer-focused and agile, faster to response to market demands and quicker in identifying new market opportunities. 

Your main tasks:

As an Engineering Lead/Senior IoT Cloud Architect you will drive the design and development of our IoT platform for connected appliances and  lead the team of about 6-8 engineers.  The platform is based on micro services architecture and deployed on Kubernetes in the public cloud. The micro services are mostly created using Java but also NodeJs.

The platform is continuously being updated with new features and integrations. You will work with different stakeholders to identify and plan requirements and be the technical leader within the team.

You love working according to agile principles You are passionate about creating excellent consumer experiences and prefer that this drives the way the product is developed.

•Master's Degree in Computer Science or Electronic Engineering, or related.
•At least 7 years of cloud development and design experience of highly scalable systems and consumer facing products
•Experience working with Public Cloud (AWS, Azure or GCP)
•Experience working with container orchestration e.g. Kubernetes
•Comfortable with at least one of the following languages: Java, Python, NodeJs. Can learn a new language quickly
•Systematic problem-solving approach with strong sense of ownership.
•Experience in IoT
•Understanding of mobile development technologies
•Continuous Delivery and Continuous Integration
•Previous experience in a large international environment with different cultures and geographically distributed is a bonus 
•Strong networking and communications skills to build and maintain useful networks both inside and outside the organization and to encourage and promote cross-collaboration and diversity to create greater business success. 
•Flexible approach to find new and original ideas, approaches and solutions for the business both on a short and long term. 
•Fluent English
