The Commercial Launch Manager is responsible for the overall successful commercialization of large-scale New Product Introduction (NPI) projects for North America, Product Line launches. Successful commercialization is defined as flawless execution for on-time, on-target delivery of NPIs to a primed marketplace. This includes but is not limited to the tactical execution and management of the pre-launch and post-launch commercialization process from initial concept through sustained marketplace viability. Working with and through cross-functional teams, this individual is required to identify, signal, and resolve issues, preemptively mitigate risks, coordinate, validate, execute, audit, and communicate launch status updates. This person will also serve as the passionate and engaged expert and the voice of the product launches to both internal and external audiences.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute, manage, and elevate large, complex New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, including review and refinement of launch scope and timing.
  • Execute, manage, and elevate all aspects of project management on a day-to-day basis, across all functions of the commercialization process. Leveraging centralized web-based project management platforms.
  • Execute, manage, and elevate day-to-day tracking of milestones and deliverables by signaling obstacles and proactively mitigating risk.
  • Execute, manage, and elevate NPI field testing process to identify ways to continually improve consumer star ratings, and service call rates.
  • Execute, manage, and elevate NPI friends & family program to ensure quicker reviews post launch.
  • Execute, manage, and elevate NPI review with third-party organizations such as Consumer Reports, Reviewed.com, and others.
  • Execute, manage, and elevate communication of NPI product benefits, line ups, launch timing and details to all audiences.
  • Execute, manage, and elevate timely, accurate, actionable reporting to stakeholders, customers and interested executives by collecting, analyzing, validating, and cascading status reports, dashboards, and scorecards.
  • Drive, support, communicate, and elevate the transition planning process to continually improve phase out of previous generation, and phase in of NPI.
  • Work with and through cross functional teams to strategize on solutions and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with leadership to define and implement plans for improvement and to drive results and outcomes.
  • Articulate goals to project team on an on-going basis.
  • Motivate integrated and cross-functional teams to exceed goals.
  • Serve as the primary source of information for all aspects of active projects.

Minimum Qualification

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related discipline required.
  • 5+ years of experience in durable consumer goods sales, marketing, and / or supply chain.
  • Proficient in Workfront, Microsoft Office 365, and web-based project management platforms.
  • Excellent comprehension of all aspects of business model (product development, project management, transition planning, trade marketing, digital marketing, B2B, D2C, programming/technology, content management, systems integration, etc.)
  • Expert knowledge in industry-standard trends and ability to adapt and implement best practices in project management.
