Simulation & Improvement Expert, this role supports the Plant operational excellence
delivery, responsible for monitoring factory performances, variance analysis,
making recommendations relating to capacity, cost, and long-term continuous
improvement. We expect candidate has
experience with Plant Simulation (Technomatrix), industrial 4.0 tools and able
to leverage knowledge into practice
A Typical Day
Developing a Manufacturing strategy to optimize capability and capacity improvement to meet the Demand Forecast in collaboration with other department within production
Drive productivity improvement projects within operations, focused on automation and streamlining of non value-added activities, Lean and Six Sigma projects.
In collaboration with ME and IE team, support to manage layout optimization works within the factory for production, support growth requirements and standardization of production space requirement
Perform material flow analysis, layout design and planning for assembly and machine layouts while implementing lean manufacturing principles with a vision toward achieving plant long-term objectives.
Supporting the cross-functional teams with analytics focused on improving our conversion processes to improve factory efficiency, working within the S&OP
Responsible for Special project assignment from GM, MD and plant leadership.
Make technical recommendations and implement overall Plant Design and Optimization solution.
Preparation and evaluation of simulation results, development of visualization components for evaluation, analysis, and comparison of simulation experiments
Be able to run discrete Event Simulation for future state scenarios to calculate capacity, utilization, equipment & resources requirements.
Who You Are
Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial/Systems Engineering, or any related with Technomatix Plant Simulation
5-8 years’ experience implementing manufacturing plant design and optimization solutions (with Technomatix Plant Simulation / Arena )
Minimum of 5 years of experience in assembly process design, layout and planning and lean manufacturing.
Strong knowledge in statistical data analysis, production systems, operation research and material management.
Experience to run discrete event simulation in PlantSIM (Tecnomatix)
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Both reactive and proactive, you work efficiently and flexibly to deliver results.
With an eye for detail and the ability to interpret complex data, you can also translate this into meaningful, useful information that informs decision-making.
