Software Process Engineer


As a Software Process Engineer you will be part of the Global Firmware Software Development team within the Global Technology R&D Electronics Food Preservation, located in Susegana (TV), Italy. The team is in charge to develop, maintain and test all the software of all the electronic boards for our refrigeration appliances.
You will be responsible inside an international project team for the maintenance of the lifecycle of the different software versions created to drive all the electronics boards present inside the Food Preservation appliances (main board, user interfaces, inverters). 
You will follow and control the entire process of creation/testing/validation/officialization of the different software releases and configuration parameters applied on the different systems.

Your focus will be the following:

• Lead and participate in all stages of the embedded software development cycle, supporting the different test requirements and validation phases
• Verify and control the execution of different software drawings inside Product Lifetime Maintenance tool for Food Preservation.
• Oversee the maintenance of the different software releases inside the Food Preservation Databases and Tools
• Interface with different technology areas and stakeholders within Electrolux global organization in order to analyse and translate different requirements in software specifications for developers.
• Contribute in the issues tracking and software bug management trough usage of dedicated tools.
• Interface with External Suppliers and Quality ,Service departments regarding software availability and maintenance during the entire life cycle of the electronic boards.


• Bachelor/Master degree in electronic engineering or computer science or similar software related education.
• From 2 to 5 years of previous experience in software development and/or software management for embedded systems.
• English language is mandatory
• Knowledge of C/C++ language programming.
• Experience of working with microprocessor architectures.
• Confidence with common Bug tracking tools (i.e Jira, Bugzilla,..) 
• Use of SW repository tools to store, share and reuse code (ex: Bitbucket, GIT, SVN, PTC,..) and tools for code analysis/review (ex: Code Collaborator)
• Knowledge and experience in systems integration and the interactions between hardware and software design.
• Ability to translate non-technical user requirements into specific technical solutions.

It is considered a plus the experience on any of the following topics:

• Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
• Knowledge of electronic hardware.
• Knowledge and experience in computer networks, internetworking and TCP/IP protocols.
• Knowledge of Matlab/Simulink is a plus.
• Knowledge of 3D design tool (i.e CATIA) is considered a plus. 
• Project management is a plus.
