You will be based in Electrolux Food Preservation site in Susegana (TV) only 1 hour distance from Venice, where we are undergoing multimillion industry 4.0 investment. Here you will work together with nearly 1400 colleagues from different functions, and various nationalities, with the common goal to create the refrigeration of the future.

We are looking for a Software Testing Engineer within the Global CX Technology R&D Electronics – Taste Area Food Preservation.

Specifically, she/he will be part of the Global Firmware and Software Development team, located in Susegana (TV), which is also part of the Group Electronics Organization (GEO) area.

The team is in charge to develop and maintain the firmware and functional software of all the electronic boards for our refrigeration appliances (main board, user interface board, satellite board) from the beginning to the end of life.

You will be responsible inside an international project team for the testing of the different softwares created for Food Preservation appliances (main board, user interfaces, satellite and inverters for motor control).

Your main tasks:

·       Continuous support and interaction with software developers on debug and test firmware drivers and new applications and functionalities.
·       Contribute to the code bugs finding and fixing according to software flux development.
·       Work on the creation of automatic bench procedures to execute regression test on software releases.
·       Contribute to creation of new strategies for test procedures and custom test fixture design and automation.
·       Lead and participate in all stages of the embedded software development cycle, supporting the different test requirements and validation phases including the generation of reports and test documentation.

Qualifications:

·       Bachelor/Master degree in electronic engineering or computer science or similar software related education.
·       Min. 3 years experience in testing embedded systems during software/hardware development.
·       Knowledge of the environment Labview for programming automation and tests.
·       Knowledge and development of test sequences based on National Instruments TestStand.
·       Knowledge of Matlab/Simulink to apply for Software In the Loop (SiL) and Hardware in the Loop (HiL) testing verification.
·       Confidence with common Bug tracking tools (i.e Jira, Bugzilla,..) and use of software repository tools to store, share and reuse code (ex: Bitbucket, GIT, SVN, PTC,..)
·       Capability of developing software that communicates with devices/Instruments. 
·       Knowledge and usage of electronic laboratory equipment with remote control such as Oscilloscope, logic-analyser, debuggers and emulators, power-meter, spectrum analyser, soldering stations
·       Fluent English language is mandatory.
