SUMMARY:

Electrolux North America, Inc., a manufacturing and sales subsidiary of AB Electrolux, is seeking a Senior Director, Human Resources Business Partner and Leader.
This position aligns people strategy & people management solutions with the business strategy by understanding business, market and industry trends, providing insights for future talent needs in order to build talent and leadership capabilities. This role acts as a change catalyst to realize the long term people strategy as an integral member of the business leadership teams.

This role will be located in the Corporate Headquarters in Charlotte, NC, and is a member of the North America Human Resources leadership team reporting functionally to the VP Human Resources for Electrolux Business Area North America and operationally to the Business Area North America (BA NA) Chief Operations Officer.   This role will provide HR leadership and direction to the Purchasing, Supply Chain, Quality, Operations Leadership & Staff as well as the major NA Transformation Programs.  As part of the core transformation project teams, this role will be responsible for leading the human capital, resource planning and HR change management associated with all major Industrial Operations projects to ensure successful startup and completion of new facilities or transformations.  The role also serves as the local human resources business partner and liaison for the Global Purchasing and Global Manufacturing Engineering team members who reside in North America.

The objective of this position is to deliver upon the Electrolux HR operations initiatives and facilitate the Business Area and business function strategies through collaboration, people leadership and expertise in organization effectiveness, design and development. This role requires an experienced hands-on client facing business partner who will provide effective coaching to leaders and employees both within and outside of HR. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

STRATEGIC BUSINESS PARTNER: Understand and anticipate business priorities and contributes to the development of the business strategy

  • Provide strategic HR leadership to the senior leaders within the Operations group and participate as an active member of Chief Operations Officer, Supply Chain, Purchasing, & HR leadership teams
  • Understand business context, issues and challenges to provide coaching to managers and employees
  • Use business knowledge to provide effective solutions that align with business goals
  • Ensure execution of the people strategy
  • Partner with the management team to understand key performance issues, objectives and drivers and converts those needs into people management solutions
  • Leads the people element of Transformation Programs, M&A integrations and divestments

CHANGE CHAMPION: Embrace change and understand strategies to address and reduce employee resistance

  • Challenge the status quo, champion new initiatives and act as a catalyst for change that drives continuous improvement in business performance
  • Drive organizational and cultural change
  • Coach managers on leading change, engaging employees and effectively building capabilities
  • Support delivery of the people strategy within the business sector and drive business results through the identification and development of targeted HR/OD interventions to deliver performance

TALENT MANAGER AND ORGANIZATIONAL DESIGNER: Select, retain and develop the right talent and capabilities

  • Develop and implement proactive and innovative talent management solutions to deliver business results
  • Understand and analyze organizational capabilities to proactively develop and implement organizational design and structure improvements to support delivery of the business strategy
  • Coach, challenge and support managers in their role on people development and organizational related processes

BUSINESS SUPPORT:  Implementation of initiatives, balancing both global, regional and local needs, understand common global frameworks, share best practices, maintain flexibility to meet local needs

  • Support roll out of HR solutions to the business unit, acting as a champion, engaging stakeholders, challenging and coaching managers to gain buy in
  • Develop tools in collaboration with Centers of Expertise and HR Operations to maximize opportunities for economies of scale, global consistency and shared learning
  • Guide and support leaders on performance management, including interim coaching, counseling, career development and disciplinary guidance
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues by conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations
  • Advise and coach People Managers on compensation program, including annual merit and compensation processes

Minimum Qualification

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, Master’s degree preferred
  • Fifteen years of progressive Human Resources experience including a minimum of ten (10) years as an HR business partner and leader supporting business operations within manufacturing/quality, purchasing or supply chain
  • HR experience within the durable or consumer goods manufacturing industry is preferred

  • Strong business acumen, understanding how the business agenda drives people imperatives and future organizational needs
  • Breadth of knowledge on HR practices, procedures and HR laws and regulations
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, facilitation and coaching skills; engages and builds effective relationships across the organization
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization
  • Proven success in project management and leading change initiatives
