The Steam Senior Lab Engineer is part of the Global Steam Technology Organization (STO), R&D Food Preparation.
Performs tests, prepares and executes lab activities related to the evaluation of components, module areas, systems and appliances, in terms of functionality, safety and performance. interprets and follows up on test results. Actively participates in the development of new projects. Works autonomously, following and improving established procedures and guidelines. Solves a range of straightforward to complex problems. Interacts with cross-functional teams, shares knowledge.  

• Create Test Manual and test reports
• Evaluate and test components, module areas, systems and appliances
• Design and develop test equipment
• Provide assistance for all-purpose lab infrastructure
• Ensure compliance with standards (internal CSS and international IEC/EN/UL) of our components and products
• Manage the technical documentation according to the CE or other directives
• Validate functionality, performance and reliability of component/module/system by means of experimental and numerical tests
• To be part of the team on:
o DFMEA analysis
o component supply specification
o design guideline
o IP database
• Identify and solve problems in straightforward to complex situations; generates possible solutions, analyzes each problem using standard procedures


• Strong knowledge in electrical components, testing methods, system development and design
• Knowledge of laboratory equipment, data acquisitions system, testing procedures and evaluations of results
• Strong knowledge of approval and environmental rules in different countries
• Good English written and oral
• Communications skills to manage suppliers and interact with all company areas
• Ability to work in a matrix organization
• Able to discuss any proposals fact based
• Availablity to business trips abroad
• The following skills are considered as a plus:
• Knowledge of 6-Sigma, Design Of Experiments (DOE)
• Experience in Value management and Design for Assembling and Manufacturing


• Master degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic engineering
• 3- 7 years experience
