The objective of the position is to drive and assist key suppliers in making long-lasting improvements in their performance in terms of quality, process efficiency and flexibility, organizational set-up. Europe Supplier Development Engineer is expected to have first operational experience in a manufacturing environment and good knowledge of manufacturing excellence tools and techniques, with sufficient knowledge of quality and material flow. The role reports to Supplier Development Manager.

Key Operational Responsibilities

- Participate pre-diagnostic and screening meetings to define suppliers’ areas for improvement
- Use supplier development tools like: Process mapping, Value Stream mapping, etc. to identify weak areas
- Check data availability and consistency
- Drive defined priorities for different improvement areas 
- Define suppliers’ KPI and targets together with Electrolux management 
- Support customized supplier lean programs and team implementation 
- Screen different supplier processes/areas and define action plans 
- Define with the team the workshops agendas and timings
- Evaluate together with the team needs of support functions and ensure their participation 
- Present defined topics at workshops
- Collaborate closely with Commodity Managers of different projects
- Create action plans together with the supplier (including: targets, timing and responsibilities)
- Follow up action plan established between Electrolux and Supplier regularly
- Verify regularly data consistency
- Ensure timing agreed in action plans
- Escalate blockings and take part in monthly reporting of actions, progress and KPI status
- Establish professional cooperation with suppliers and relevant stakeholders
- Support the team in automation in terms of efficiency, costs and quality

• Technical degree in Industrial Engineering or similar field
• 3 years of relevant experience in Manufacturing, Engineering, Logistics or Quality
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing 
• Knowledge of: Value Stream mapping, OEE, 5S, SMED, Tooling construction, PPAP, D/P-FMEA methods
• Analytical and result-driven mindset 
• Communication skills and teamwork abilities
• Maturity to work with  supplier management
• Ability and willingness to travel
• Fluency of English
