Electrolux Global R&D Food Preservation presents:
Be part of a fast-growing team dedicated to the development of state of the art solutions for domestic refrigerators. As Senior CFD Engineer in our System Engineering team, you will be given the chance to work in an open-minded, international environment and to collaborate with experts from all over the world. You will be responsible for guiding the design of best in class products in Food Preservation, by performing CFD simulations and fluid-dynamic test and by promoting the integration of multi-physic approach and virtual prototyping. You contribute to the development of the Technology Roadmap (TRM) for CFD to ensure the availability of assets, tools and competences necessary to deliver future projects in observance of required product performances and cost and of required project timing.

• Execute CFD simulations according to project/activities plan and create relevant technical documentation
• Execute thermal simulation according to project/activities plan and create relevant technical documentation
• Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis in collaboration with Quality Department and Product Care Department
• Execute performance and fluid dynamic testing according to project/activities plan, following Electrolux Internal standards, and providing reports
• Identify key operation activities for every project in term of simulation and calibration test necessary
• Develop test manuals, simulation manuals, design guidelines and best practices for both experimental and numerical activities
• Support the creation, validation and use of simulation models and related experimental activities
• Define specifications for components and parts in prototype creation and testing execution
• Implement DOE, optimization and statistical analysis tools
• Closely interact with all R&D functions to ensure a seamless delivery of projects
• Minimize trial and error activities and costs, and improve the “right first time” RFT result in prototype generation

• Master’s Degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent)
• 1 to 3 years’ experience in fluid-dynamic and thermal simulation, preferably in white goods or automotive industry
• Structured engineering approach during all project phases; with an integrated multi-physics view
• Good background of CFD tools (STAR-CCM+ preferred) 
• Good background in the use of 3D CAD modeling software (CATIA is preferable)  
• Strong background on thermo-fluid dynamic, heat and mass transfer
• Basic knowledge on statistical tools ( DOE)
• Good knowledge of laboratory experimental analysis in thermodynamics - cooling circuits characterization
• Ability to effectively manage information
• Fluent English (mandatory)
