System Engineer MBD

As System Engineer MBD you will work in an open-minded, international environment, collaborate with experts from all over the world and be part of a team where creativity is welcome, and innovation applied to product development and methodology is the key mission. Your main task will be guiding the design of control algorithm for domestic refrigerators using a Model Based Design approach and closely interacting with experts in noise and vibration, fluid-dynamic, thermos-dynamic and food freshness.

• Create control algorithms for domestic refrigerators following the MBD approach (Model in the Loop, Rapid Control Prototyping and Automatic Code Generation)
• Support Hardware in the Loop activities
• Support the development of plant models
• Support the development of the technology road map for algorithm development
• Cooperate with other experts to ensure that all project target are met
• Support the test execution and all validation phases
• Translate market needs into technical solutions
• Create all necessary documentation, testing and approval guidelines 
• Support IP investigation and identifies patent application opportunities
• Closely interact with all R&D functions to ensure a seamless delivery of projects
• Minimize trial and error activities and costs, and improve the right-first-time result in prototype generation

• Strong knowledge of Matlab and Simulink
• Strong knowledge of control theory
• Proven experience in developing control algorithms from scratches
• Knowledge of C/C++ and Visual Basic is a plus 
• Knowledge of laboratory experimental analysis is a plus
• “Out of the box” thinking
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to effectively manage information
• Good communicational skills
• Fluent English (mandatory)

• Master’s Degree in Electronic, Mechatronic, Control Engineering (or equivalent)
• 1 to 3 years’ experience in designing control algorithm, preferably in white goods or automotive industry
