System Engineer – Noise & Vibration

Be part of a fast-growing team dedicated to the development of state of the art solutions for domestic refrigerators. 

As Noise & Vibration Expert in our System Engineering team, you will be given the chance to work in an open-minded, international environment and to collaborate with experts from all over the world. You will be responsible for leading the design of best in class products, by performing vibro-acoustic simulations and test. You will contribute to promoting the integration of multi-physic approach and virtual prototyping and to develop the Technology Roadmap (TRM) to ensure the availability of assets, tools and competences necessary to deliver future projects.

• Develop, through simulation and experimental test, solutions to meet project targets in terms of noise and vibration
• Execute modal analysis, both experimental and numerical, according to project/activities plan and create relevant technical documentation
• Sound power measurements according to European Standard (IEC60704)
• Proactively identify key operation activities for every project in term of simulation and test
• Troubleshooting and root cause analysis in collaboration with Quality Department and Product Care Department
• Develop test manuals, simulation manuals, design guidelines and best practices for both experimental and numerical activities
• Develop guidelines for the design/selection of components and sub-assembly and for the integration of those components in more complex systems 
• Collaborate with Advanced Development Department and Universities to develop and implement sound quality concept in domestic refrigerators
• Implement DOE, optimization and statistical analysis tools
• Closely interact with all R&D functions to ensure a seamless delivery of projects
• Minimize trial and error activities and costs, and improve the “right first time” RFT result in prototype generation

• Master’s Degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent)
• 1 to 3 years’ experience in FEM simulations and modal analysis.
• Experience with acoustic measurements (sound power level, sound pressure level)
• Structured engineering approach during all project phases; with an integrated multi-physics view
• Good knowledge of FEM and modal analysis tools (both numerical and experimental) 
• Good background in the use of 3D CAD modeling software (CATIA is preferable)
• Experience in the use of microphones and acoustic measurements chain
• Experience in the use of acoustic analyzers software is considered a plus 
• Basic knowledge on statistical tools (DOE)
• Fluent English (mandatory)
