Understands all the financial activities for all of the Electrolux companies within Mexico, giving support to various plants and ensuring compliance with company policies and legal and statutory requirements. Following local direction and from the North American Tax Department located in Charlotte, North Carolina.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To prepare monthly tax calculations for all Mexican legal entities and report sent to the tax authorities which includes detailed calculation for each tax obligation. 
  • To prepare and submit  the following Tax returns:
    • Annual Income Tax Return
    • Monthly VAT  informative return of suppliers
    • Informative returns (Mexican and Foreign-Related parties transactions)
    • Informative return of the Fiscal Situation 
    • Maquila Operation Informative Return (DIEMSE)
    • Any other applicable
  • To prepare and submit monthly VAT refunds for all legal entities.
  • To prepare and submit of Annual Refunds for Income Tax.
  • To prepare the calculation of monthly tax accruals for current and deferred Income Tax.
  • To book journal entries for tax-related transactions. 
  • Preparation of account reconciliations related to taxes.

Minimum Qualification

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in activities related to the compliance of Mexico Tax obligations (preferably in Maquiladora Industry) and Accounting matters.
  • Degree in Accountant (recently graduated is acceptable)
  • Basic knowledge of English language 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge & experience in using Office Programs, primarily Excel.
  • Working Knowledge of Mexican Tax Laws and procedures.
  • Working Knowledge of general ledger and processing journal entries/reconciliations.
  • Knowledge in the submission of return in the Mexico Tax Authorities website. 
  • Among responsibilities the following environmental information is included, designated but not limited to:
    • Knowledge and comprehension of the plant’s environmental policy, including the established environmental goals, knowing and identifying the environmental aspects and impacts on the area or process to perform, focusing on continuous improvement and keeping operational goals, identifying and segregating chemical residues and materials
