This position will allow you to take control of the testing effort, design and plan functional testing, test execution, develop test automation, build a testing team, incorporate continuous testing, and be accountable for the testing competency.

You will

• Assess current development setup, craft and design a test strategy, implement it.
• Develop test plans.
• Write test scenarios for existing and new functionality to ensure test coverage and application stability/quality.
• Develop regression suites, develop automation scenarios, move automation to an agile continuous testing model.
• Execute tests, run automation, provide test results in clear and detailed reports.
• Log and manage defect until completion.
• Optimize testing for effectiveness and efficiency.
• Work closely with in-house and distributed QA & Dev teams.
• Communicate testing expectations, assignments and responsibilities clearly and professionally to members of the testing team and appropriate upper management.
• Find and evaluate new opportunities for additional testing and automation within the portfolio

Education & Background

• Must be energetic and proactive a team player with aptitude and willingness to lead when necessary
• Bachelor’s degree in any field with a minor in a computer science related field or five year of related software testing or development experience
• Ability to evaluate, understand, and troubleshoot complex testing issues and solve problems with little or no supervision
• Technical QA skills (Quality Assurance processes, test planning, test execution, test automation, quality metrics and reporting)
• Ability to evaluate requirements/stories then develop test plans and test cases
• Hands-on experience planning and executing end-to-end testing
• Hands on experience with microservice architecture
• Understanding main SOAP and REST concepts, API testing traits
• Experience with SQL
• Experience with Java
• Previous experience with test automation tools and frameworks (SoapUI, Selenium, JMeter, Gatling etc)
• Reporting, monitoring tools & CI tools knowledge: Allure, Grafana, Prometheus, Jenkins, TeamCity.
• Ability to setup QA flow, choose the most suitable instruments and integrate QA flow into the CI/CD process by your own
• Message brokers (Kafka) and protocols (MQTT) knowledge
