Position:
Design and carry out laboratory activities related to the evaluation of performance on tumble dryers and washer dryers, with special emphasis on thermodynamics and fluid-dynamics, supporting the development of new projects in compliance with appropriate standards and ensuring the achievement of the technical targets.  

Key operational responsibilities:
1. Planning, execution, data post-processing and analysis of tests on dryers, washer dryers and their  components/sub-systems on dedicated test benches
2. Test plan definition according to required targets and respecting timelines and deliverables
3. Understanding of testing procedures, both standard and customized
4. Definition of novel test practices upon need
5. Test report preparation and release after appropriate data post-processing and analysis
6. Preparation and verification of measurement systems applied to prototypes and components, systems or appliances for lab testing
7. Understanding of product technical specifications
8. Support the introduction of new technologies in cooperation with the relevant R&D departments

Objectives:
- Experimental characterization in terms of thermodynamics and fluid dynamics of dryers and washer-dryers, including for example heat pump components, fans, air ducts focusing on performance, cost and quality, according to platforms targets and constraints (technical specifications, functionality performance and robustness)
- Ensure product performances verifications according to legislation and applicable standards
- Extensively apply lab testing methodologies
- Support Laboratory organization to define and execute test plan
- Generate technical and methodological improvements and innovation proposals
- Analyze and communicate test results
- Assure alignment on test methodologies and application of best practices 
- Handle activities such as basic assembly/disassembly of products/components, test setup preparation, test execution

Qualification:
• Mechanical / Aeronautical / Energy Engineering degree or equivalent
• 3-5 years of experience as R&D engineer
• Experience in topics related to thermodynamics, in particular psychometrics and heat pump systems
• Experience in topics related to fluid dynamics
• Knowledge of laboratory equipment, data acquisitions system, testing procedures and evaluations of results
• Knowledge of statistical methods and tools
• Project management knowledge is a plus
• Basic software programming and knowledge of MatLab are a plus
