Objective:
• Thermodynamic design of heat pump modules and proper integration on TD and WD platforms
• Development / improvement and use of simulation tool based on MatLab/Simulink 
• To promote new technical solutions to meet cost reduction and quality improvement targets
• To support different activities from theoretical calculation to experimental analysis, prototyping, performance testing and components verification

Key responsibilities:
• Thermodynamic design/selection of heat pump components, focusing on performance, cost and quality, according to platforms targets and constraints (technical specifications, feasibility, functionality, manufacturability, reliability)
• Develop, calibrate, validate thermodynamic simulation models and perform simulation analysis by
o Implementing codes in Matlab/Simulink directly and managing external partners 
o Select the proper thermodynamics and fluido-dynamics laws for describes physical phenomena 
o supporting and addressing experimental activities to achieve experimental data
• To support Thermodynamic Laboratories (internal ones and external partners) on test methodology definition and data post-processing of new solutions
• To keep relation with suppliers / introduction of new suppliers
• Analysis of innovative technical solutions with suppliers, laboratories, factories and other functions involved
• To Support Purchasing department in cost analysis of new solution
• Ensure that project timing, costs and performances are delivered according to specification and technology roadmap strategy at global level
• To independently manage development activities
• Create strong relationship with all functions in the organization, to enhance the delivery of global targets
• Support modularization and standardization by ensuring that new developments fit into platform and modules strategy

Key functional qualifications:
• University degree (5 years) in Mechanical Engineering with Thermodynamics/Energetics specialization
• Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, refrigerant circuits and psychometrics 
• Good knowledge of MatLab/Simulink
• Experience in code development
• Aerodynamics fundamentals knowledge 
• Experience with heat exchanger design and compressor selection
• Experience with thermodynamics lab activities (test setup and data post-processing) is a plus
• 2-3 years of experience in HVAC&R applied to white goods or similar fields is a plus 
• Knowledge of 6-Sigma, Design Of Experiments (DOE) is a plus
• Experience in an International organization/company is appreciated
• Good communication skills at different levels
